After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Tina worked in educational publishing. Currently, she works as a Project Manager for a publishing company that requires her to engage with a global workforce and collaborate in order to achieve the company’s goals. In order to accomplish this, Tina must be creative about establishing plans and persuading all stakeholders to work within the boundaries of those plans to meet objectives and deadlines. As Hilliard’s cultural diversity continues to grow, these skills have become essential to representing all of the city’s residents.Â
Like many others, her interest in politics was ignited after the 2016 election and she began to get involved in local politics. Tina used her professional skills to connect with residents in all 12 counties in her US congressional District 15 while working with local Democratic campaigns. She also canvassed for the Ohio Coordinated Campaign. Working with grassroots teams of volunteers was a challenge and an inspiration.Â
Tina has heard directly from former voters who had given up on politicians and the entire democratic process. She is deeply concerned that a few bad apples have caused people to lose confidence in all elected leaders and are now taking our rights and freedoms for granted. She hopes to dissolve this apathy by consistently engaging residents so their voices are heard and their faith and trust in government institutions is restored.
Upon being elected, you can expect to find Tina in a public venue to update the people of Hilliard on the current events, the next proposals, and future issues facing the City of Hilliard and its neighborhoods.
